Balatonfured

This city, enclosed by the Tihany Peninsula and the southern slopes of Tamás-hill, is often called the most fascinating region of Hungary, the Mecca of peoples with heart-diseases, the village museum of Transdanubia, or the homeland of grapes and viniculture.

Füred is the oldest health spa resort of Lake Balaton.The town offers modern hotels with every convenience, health spas, shopping centres, multiplex cinema, sandy beaches, properly arranged hiking spots in the wood, sports grounds, intimate Hungarian restaurants – the so called „chardas” with special Hungarian cuisine, wine
